Throughout the study in this course is learning the strategies of English Reading in order to use them in reading. The contents are as follow:

Since I have already studied of this course, I gain more knowledge of English Reading including techniques, strategies etc. In the past, I didn't like reading because when I read, I always saw the unfamiliar words that were obstacle of my reading. I always found these words suddenly so I was very exhausted with reading.
Right now, I don't be as ever. I use the strategies that I got from this course in reading. They make me enjoy reading. Moreover, I can understand easily. Personally, I think that when we are reading, we don't need to read every words. There is one thing that is very significant is choosing the simple English books because we can read and understand them without needing a dictionary. We will be enjoy reading and love reading as well.
The strategies that I got from this course are as follow:
Previewing: reviewing the titles,section heading, and photo captions to get a sense of structure and content of a reading selection
Predicting: using knowledge of the subject matter to make predictions about content and vocabulary and check comprehension; using knowledge of the text type and purpose to make predictions about discourse structure; using knowledge about author to make predictions about writing style, vocabulary, and content
Skimming and Scanning: using a quick survey of the text to get the main idea, identify text structure, confirm or question predictions
Guessing from the text: using prior knowledge of the subject and the ideas in the text as clues to the meanings of unknown words, instead of stopping to look them up
Paraphrasing: stopping at the end of a section to check comprehension by restarting the information and ideas in the text
Personally, I love reading because of attending this course and these strategies. Although I sometimes felt bored, the teacher gave us to do the activities which were according to the materials in order to warm up and be fun.

What did you find easy?
To my way of thinking, Extensive Reading is very easy for me because it is the last content that I studied, I can understand the content without needing a dictionary. I used the strategies in reading and I did more exercises from this handout and Reading English book.
What did you find difficult?
From my point of view, "WEST MEETS EAST" is very difficult because it seems academic material so many students in this course couldn't understand exactly.
How did you solve the problem?
I have payed attention every weeks and done more exercises both these handouts and English Reading books in order to practice and prepare myself before the class started.
What are you attitudes toward to the lesson?
In my opinion, I think this course is very significant for the students who attended this course. It can help them to easily understand the matters and use the strategies which got from this course in English reading either. However, the students should remind themselves that they should prepare themselves best. If they don't, they won't get everything from this course.
