Exemplification (Continued...)
Today, we had to study Exemplification. First of all, the teacher told us about English Reading Strategies, for example, Skimming, Scanning, Analyzing text genre and Discourse Markers. These things are very beneficial to help out English Reading as well.
After that, we had to read text 2 which is Fun things to do in Great Falls. I also knew each of places in Great falls has many activities to do that. For instance, The River's Edge Trail where you can walk and see the view, Giant Springs where you can feed giant fish and have a picnic, Gibson Park where you can play basketball, feed ducks, play outdoor equipment, throw horseshoes, skateboard, and have a picnic as Giant Springs etc.
Then, we had to answered the questions after we had finished reading this text in order to check our comprehension. We must complete places which are in Great Falls relate with the activities given in each of questions.
Next, we had to find the main idea of this text which is there are many ways to have fun in Great Falls without Spending a Fortune. We also highlight discourse markers in the text.
After we finished doing text 2, we started reading in text 3 related with hazards in the home and how to eliminate them.
When we finished reading, we had to find the topic which is hazards in the home and how to eliminate them. And also we had to identify the main idea which is many hazards in the home that jeopardize a child's safety can be easily eliminated.
After we finished identifying both topic and main idea. We had to answer the questions by choosing the best answer each of questions and completing the correct answers.
Later, we also highlighted the discourse markers in the text. The reason that we had to highlight them was they could make us understand the text easily and the information added by author to reader too.
Then, we started reading the last text which is what is Language? We could know both humans and animals have different language in communicating each other. In first paragraph, the author let us know what a language is by adding the its definition. The rest of paragraphs is to bring the examples that support the language of humans and animals
So, I use language to communicate with others as same as humans :}
Next, we had to answer the questions the text and highlight the discourse markers too. We finished learning this lesson and the teacher let us know the problem and solution by writing on the whiteboard
Then, she assigned us to find the problem and solution. Next, we had to present in front of the classroom. I and my friends thought about the traffic problem and solution.

Finally, we are going to study new lesson which is problem and solution. Also, we had to take a test. So, reading and practice more are the best ways to get the best scores. TRY MY BEST

I started to study Exemplification.
What did you find easy?
In my opinion, Finding the discourse markers was easy for me. Because I knew these conjunction as well. I will learn as much as I can in order to understand and do in testing as well.
What did you find difficult?
Personally, I didn't know how to use some discourse markers how they should be used.
What did you solve the problem?
I tried to pay attention during the class and find more information how to use each of discourse markers
What are your attitudes towards the lesson?
Personally, I like this lesson because it is to bring the examples that support the information of the author. These make me understand greatly.
